With the Prince George High School Baseball team leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, rain fell on the Class 5B Regional Championship Game tonight vs. Mills Godwin at Mills Godwin High School Field.
Following a lengthy delay, the game was postponed and by VHSL rules will not be rescheduled. Because Mills Godwin #1 is the higher seed, the Royals #3 will not get another chance to win the regional crown or host a state playoff game.
On Tuesday, the Royals, 19-3, will travel to Hickory to compete in the first round of the State Tournament!! Game time to be announced.
