Passing of the Torch!

We are happy to announce the passing of the torch for our Therapy K-9 program at Prince George Police Department.

Our K-9 Coal, a black German Shepherd, has served the Police Department as a Therapy dog since October, of 2016. Coal has been an instrumental part of our K-9 program and the center of attention at numerous school and community events. Coal will be eleven years old this year and he has decided that retirement is calling and he is ready to pass the torch onto his daughter.

The new carrier of the torch will be Sansa. Sansa is a one-year-old German Shepherd who recently completed her National Certification with handler ACO Santilli. Sansa has endless stores of energy and is excited to get to work.

Sansa is excited to start her career and Coal is looking forward to a life of ease. The torch has been passed and Coal, with his never-ending desire to have his belly scratched, will be sorely missed here at the office. We’re confident that Sansa will fulfill her newly assigned duties and keep us laughing with her goofy energetic, personality.

Congratulations to Coal and Sansa!
