ALTERNATING LANES AND RAMPS TO CLOSE FOR PAVING
ON I-95 IN PRINCE GEORGE

Drivers should follow posted detour routes during ramp closures

Interstate 95 (Prince George) – Weather permitting, Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews will begin paving work on I-95 north between mile marker 34 and I-295 north (mile marker 46) and I-95 south between Carson (mile marker 37) and mile marker 34 on Sunday, May 5. Alternating lanes and ramps will be closed nightly, Sunday-Thursday from 7 p.m.-7 a.m. Work is expected to be complete the week of May 12.

Drivers should use posted detour routes when ramp closures are in place.

The work is part of an ongoing I-95 paving project that extends from mile marker 37 in Prince George to mile marker 81 in Henrico. Additional lane and ramp closures will be announced as the project progresses.
