(Prince George, VA) – Update School Bus Crash
On 3/21/19, Prince George County Police arrested Holly Owens, age 48, of Charles City. Ms. Owens was the school bus driver involved in the March 8, 2019, single-vehicle crash. Ms. Owens was transported to Riverside Regional Jail where she was processed and given a secured bond. She has been charged with the following offenses:
• Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident (felony)
• Reckless Driving - Failure to Maintain Control

(Prince George, VA) – School Bus Crash
On 3/8/19, at approximately 9:15 am, Prince George County Police were notified of a school bus that had travelled off of the left shoulder of Pumphouse Road. The investigation revealed that the bus struck a mailbox and a culvert pipe before the driver was able to reposition the bus back on the roadway. The bus driver then proceeded to continue with the route delivering the students to South Elementary School. After the students were released at the school, the Police Department was made aware of the incident.
Three students were transported from South Elementary School to Southside Regional Medical Center by ambulance. This incident is still under investigation, and the Police Department is working closely with the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office to determine further action.
