Feb. 15 - April 30 - Statewide Burn Law in effect: No burning BEFORE 4:00PM (this includes campfires, brush fires, etc.). Please contact the Virginia Department of Forestry with any questions at 434-977-6555.

Fri., March 8 - St. Patrick's Day Middle School Dance ($2 per P.G. School student), at the Prince George Parks and Rec Community Center, 11100 Old Stage Road, from 7:00pm - 9:00pm.

March 9-14 - 44th Annual Joint Culinary Training Exercise with live demos, table displays, and military cooking challenges at the MacLaughlin Fitness Center, Fort Lee, VA, 9:00am-4:30pm each day. Admission is FREE with lunch tickets first-come, first-served.

Sat., March 9 - Mobile Phone/i-Pad Photo Workshop ($30 pre-registration required), at the Prince George Parks & Recreation Community Center, 11100 Old Stage Road. Class is 9:00am – 12:00pm.

Sat., March 9 - "Pickleball" Open House - Learn to play (under 16 yrs. must be accompanied by adult), at the Prince George County Central Wellness Center Gym, 11023 Prince George Drive, 10:00am - 1:00pm

Sun., March 10 - Daylight Saving Time will begin at 2:00 AM – Statewide. "Spring Ahead" (turn clocks FORWARD one hour).

Mon., March 11 - Prince George County, City of Hopewell, and Surry County Drug Court at the Prince George Circuit Court, 6601 Courts Drive, beginning at 4:00pm.

Mon., March 11 - Prince George County School Board will meet in the 3rd Floor Board Room of the Administration Building, 6602 Courts Drive, at 6:30pm.

Tues., March 12 - Prince George County Board of Supervisors Work Session & Public Meeting in the 3rd Floor Board Room of the Administration Building, 6602 Courts Drive, at 6:00pm & 7:00pm respectively.

Wed., March 13 – Prince George County Recreation Advisory Committee Meeting at the Parks & Rec Community Center, 11100 Old Stage Road, beginning at 12:00pm.

Wed., March 13 - "Caregivers Café" presented by Crater Community Hospice, at the Petersburg Public Library, Multi-purpose Room, 201 W. Washington Street, Petersburg, at 3:00pm.

Fri., March 15 - "Employee Day To Serve" - Prince George Co. Employees will clean up litter along Rte. 156 & Jefferson Park Road (rain or shine), from 8:30am - 12:30pm.

March 16-17 - St. Patrick's Day "Slugfest" Baseball Tournament (ages 9-14) on various Prince George County Ball Fields. Game times vary throughout the tournament.

Daylight Savings Time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 10. It is the time to move clocks ahead one hour and also replace the batteries in your smoke detectors.
