Three people were killed Wednesday afternoon after a driver veered across an Interstate 95 median and struck another car head-on in Prince George County, police said.
The collision occurred just before 1:30 p.m. near mile marker 36.9 on southbound I-95, Virginia State Police said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a Chevrolet Cruze was traveling north on I-95, before veering across the median and striking a Lincoln Navigator traveling south, according to police.
The driver and passenger of the Lincoln Navigator, as well as the driver of the Chevrolet Cruze, died at the scene. Their identities were not immediately released.
