November 1, 2018 

(Prince George, VA) – Mount Sinai Rd, Fatal Crash Update 

On 10/31/2018, at approximately 3:49 p.m., the Prince George County Police Department responded to the 4300 block of Mount Sinai Road for a report of a single-vehicle crash.  Upon arrival, officers learned that a black, Ford, two-door sedan was traveling northbound on Mount Sinai Rd.  The vehicle skidded off the left side of the roadway striking a tree.  

The driver, identified as William Besley, age 39, of Hopewell, sustained life-threatening injuries.  Besley was transported, via med-flight, to the VCU Medical Center.    

The passenger, identified as Clarence Thomas, age 37, of Chesterfield County, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.  He was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Investigators preliminary findings reveal the driver and the passenger were not wearing seatbelts.  Cell phone usage may have been a contributing factor regarding the crash.
