HOPEWELL — The Burrowsville Community Center and Library presents “Bats of the World,” an educational and entertaining program featuring live bats.

The presentation “Bats of the World” by Bat World takes place on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. Learn about how bats are good for the environment and about bat conservation. Bat World Sanctuary is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit conservation organization that provides rescue for bats worldwide. Denise R. Tomlinson, director-biologist of Bat World Hampton Roads, will bring a variety of bat species for participants to see and learn about. See a bat house, learn how they work, and learn about the value of bat houses to help replace lost bat habitat. The library will have books available about bats on display that you can check to learn more about these wonderful creatures.
