Home Incarceration

Home Incarceration

Home Incarceration is another program that is offered by the Prince George County Sheriff’s Office. This program provides the courts with an alternative, cost effective method of incarceration for low risk non violent offenders.

Our program requires the inmate to wear an electronic monitor and a GPS tracking unit when away from home. The tracking unit allows deputies to track the inmates whereabouts. Inmates are allowed to leave the home for work and counseling. The courts also can order random drug and alcohol test.

The cost for this program is paid by the inmate at $10.00 a day.

The Prince George County Sheriff’s Office accepts inmates into the program as a result of a court order. This is a voluntary program.
