Football/Cheerleading Registration

The Prince George Parks and Recreation Department is a member in both the Chesterfield Quarterback League (CQL) and Chesterfield Cheerleading League (CCL). Participants in these leagues, aged eight to fourteen year old, have the opportunity to experience travel football and cheerleading. First time participants in the CQL and CCL must bring birth certificates. Flag football league will play all games in the County. Registration for youth Football and Cheerleading for ages 5 – 14 (5-7 years old Flag, 8-14 Tackle) from:

  • May 22 – June 16, Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:fpm, and
  • Saturday – June 3 (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) at the Parks and Recreation located at 11100 Old Stage Road.
  • Registration Fee – $30.00 for 1 child, $50.00 for 2 children, $70.00 for 3 children and $5 for each child after 3. Participants will be responsible for purchasing game pants for football or a cheerleading package, available through the Parks and Recreation office.

Mini-Mite Camp

The Mini-Mite Camp is for boys and girls ages three and four. This camp will be held on June 20, 21, & 22, from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. The Mini-Mite camp is designed to introduce and teach the basic skills of soccer, baseball/softball, and basketball. The camp will be held at Prince George High School. Registration will be held at the Parks and Recreation office from May 22 to June 16. Registration fee will be $30. Participants must be 3 years old before the start of the program. Volleyball Camp

This camp is for rising 6th graders to rising Seniors, registration will be held May 22nd to June 16th. Camper will be taught the proper techniques of spiking, blocking, digging, and team play by Wanda Gilbert, PGHS head girls Varsity Coach. Camp dates are June 26th, 27th, 28th, & 29th from 6 pm to 8 pm, $35 per participants. Register at  www.princegeorgeva.org/OnlineRegistration or at the Parks and Recreation office.

Football Camp

The Football Camp is for ages 6 - 14 and will be held July 17, 18, & 19, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Participants will learn the basic fundamentals and skills of football. The camp will be taught by PGHS Football staff. Registration is May 22nd through July 7th. The registration fee is $15 per child, including t-shirt. Cheerleading Camp

The Cheerleading Camp is for ages 5 - 14 and runs July 17, 18, & 19, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Clements Jr. High School. Participants will learn cheers, jumps, stunts, sideline dances, games and more! The camp is taught by the PGHS Varsity Cheerleaders and Coaches. Participants will perform with the PGHS Cheerleaders at a football game. Registration is May 22nd through July 7th. The registration fee is $45 per child, $10 discount for additional children in same family. Register at  www.princegeorgeva.org/OnlineRegistration or at the Parks and Recreation office.

Central Wellness Center Fitness Room

Thanks to a grant from the John Randolph Foundation, and support from the County Board of Supervisors, and County Administration, Prince George Parks and Recreation will be opening its second Fitness Room to assist citizens of Prince George County in their quest for a healthy lifestyle.

The newest room, located at the Prince George Central Wellness Center, 11023 Prince George Drive, will open Monday, May 15th at 5 p.m. The Fitness Room features 4 ellipticals, 4 treadmills, 2 recumbent bikes, 2 upright bikes, 6 strength training machines, a rowing machine, and dumbbells. This is a one room facility with limited equipment. Fitness Room participants should enter through the front of the building.

Registration fee is $5 per month and/or $50 a year and the card can be used at EITHER the Central Wellness Center or Prince George Community Center locations. The two Exercise rooms are open to Prince George County residents ages 13– and up. Participants 13-15 must be accompanied by a registered adult.

The Wellness Center Fitness Room will initially be open Monday – Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Open to Prince George County residents only.

KINGS DOMINION TICKETS

Prince George Parks and Recreation is currently selling Kings Dominion Any Day Tickets for $40 and Spring Savings Day tickets for $38. Any Day Tickets are valid for any regular operating day of the 2017 season for ages 3 and up, while the Spring Savings Days tickets are valid March 25 thru May 21 for ages 3 and up. Tickets are sold in the Parks and Recreation office at 11100 Old Stage Road, Prince George VA 23875, cash or check only.
